Home made jeera powder is another staple in sangi’s kitchen . No savoury dish coming out of my kitchen can escape the jeera treatment . It is flavourful as well as good for digestion . I add it to plain yogurt for a simple clean breakfast.
Ingredients
Jeera -1 cup
Sea salt -1/2 tsp
Method
Fry the jeera seeds with a on low heat until they turn crisp to the bite . Cool to room temperature and then blitz them in a grinder into a smooth or coarse powder depending on your sugar preferred texture .
I use a coffee grinder and grind it to a medium texture .
Store it in an airtight container.
